| Appeal Hearing
If your employee sends you an appeal in writing, you will need to hold an appeal hearing. The hearing should decide whether the initial meeting was carried out fairly. Your employee can also introduce new evidence at the hearing. The appeal hearing can’t be held by the same person who conducted the disciplinary meeting. If your business is small, and there is nobody else to hold the meeting, you may have to outsource the task to an independent company or an employment law firm. |
